2011 Taste & Tour of Cheshire Bridge
Two Days of Good Eats and Family Fun on Atlanta’s Quirkiest Road
Third Annual Taste & Tour of Cheshire Bridge
Event Proceeds Used to Explore a Community Improvement District
A wide variety of Cheshire Bridge Road businesses are working together to bring the third annual Taste & Tour to Atlanta’s most eclectic street. The two-day event, held July 20-21, will feature many of Atlanta’s best restaurants and high-end businesses offering food tastings, exhibits, product samples, discounts, raffle prizes, and more.
This year’s Taste & Tour is sponsored by the Lindbergh LaVista Corridor Coalition
(LLCC) and Public Broadcasting Atlanta
. The LLCC is a non-profit corporation comprised of residents, business owners, and property owners in northeast Atlanta whose mission is to redefine and revitalize the community it serves. Net proceeds from this year’s event will be used to fund a feasibility study for the establishment of a Community Improvement District (CID) in the area.
“I’m thrilled to once again be participating in this year’s Taste & Tour,” said Kevin Gillespie, Executive Chef and Partner at Woodfire Grill. “Cheshire Bridge Road has so many fantastic restaurants and unique businesses, and I’m happy to be part of an event that celebrates our street’s diversity,” continued Gillespie, a finalist voted “fan favorite” on the sixth season of Bravo’s Top Chef.
Taste & Tour hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day. The event is accessible via the MARTA Lindbergh Station and bus route 27, which stops at multiple locations on Cheshire Bridge Road. Designated parking locations are at Antiques & Beyond (1853 Cheshire Bridge Road) and The Center for Spiritual Growth & Meditation (1893 Piedmont Road NE). A trolley will transport attendees along Cheshire Bridge Road with stops at several locations (TBA) and within walking distance of participating businesses.
