Artwork Contest:
Friends of Kittredge Park (FKP) plans to establish a graphic design image or “logo” that represents the
organization and Kittredge Park. This image may be used for a variety of purposes, including FKP’s
forthcoming new website, newsletters, signage, stationery, t-shirts, and other collateral and promotional
pieces. FKP is reaching out to our surrounding community and to other interested parties to participate in
this open design competition.
Artwork Contest Rules:
1. The winning artist will receive a $100 cash prize.
2. All artwork will include the words “Kittredge Park”, “Friends of Kittredge Park”, or initials
“FKP”.
3. All artwork must be submitted in black ink on 8½” x 11” white paper with no lines. The design
should be devised for single color printing on T-shirts or other items.
4. One (1) entry per individual please.
5. All artwork must be signed and dated in the lower right corner on the back of the artwork.
6. Artwork may be submitted to Board Members of the North Druid Hills Residents Association,
Merry Hills Homeowners Association, LaVista Park Civic Association, or North Amanda Civic
Association prior to 12 noon on Wednesday, June 10. Entries may also be made at the Kittredge
Park monthly clean-up behind Adams Stadium on North Druid Hills Road across from the car
wash, on Sunday, June 14 between 9:30 am and 11:30 am. Protect your artwork in the event of
rain. You do not have to be present to win.
7. The contest will be judged by a panel selected by Friends of Kittredge Park.
8. Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity and originality in conveying an image and/or logo
that, in the judges’ opinion, best conveys Kittredge Park and/or Friends of Kittredge Park.
9. The decision of the judges will be final.
10. Friends of Kittredge Park will determine the suitability of the designs for use as a park logo or for
t-shirt printing. All entries will become property of FKP.

the artist indicated, and was not copied from another photograph, illustration or website, or made by
another. I understand that the artwork will not be returned. I give permission to Friends of Kittredge Park
(FKP) and the DeKalb County Department of Parks and Recreation (Parks Dept.) to reproduce, prepare
derivative works, publish, distribute copies to the public, display publicly, incorporate in articles for sale,
and use the artwork for all purposes deemed appropriate by FKP or the Parks Dept. FKP or the Parks Dept.
may distribute the artwork through a variety of media, including but not limited to print, television,
websites, or any other means. FKP or the Parks Dept. may also permit a third party to exercise these rights,
including but not limited to the right to display or distribute the artwork, in a manner FKP deems
appropriate. I fully grant these usage rights without any expectation or obligation of FKP or any of the
aforementioned homeowners associations or their officers or agents to provide any monetary compensation
whatsoever. I hereby allow FKP and the Parks Dept. to use my name and photograph for announcements
pertaining to the award of this contest.
