Taste & Tour of Cheshire Bridge

Three Days of Family Fun on Atlanta's Quirkiest Little Road

Posted: July 2nd, 2009 @ 9:43pm

Source: Tour of Cheshire Bride Blogspot

The wholesome, upscale businesses of Cheshire Bridge Road are working together to bring a one-of-a-kind three day family event to this diverse street. Many of the best restaurants in Atlanta will offer tastings and tapas while other high-end businesses will offer product samples, discounts, raffles, and exhibits with ticket sales benefiting Open Hand Atlanta.

Atlanta, GA, July 21-23
The Taste & Tour of Cheshire Bridge
will operate
Tuesday July 21
 Wednesday July 22
Thursday July 23
from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm each day

Recommended lots for parking are at Cheshire Square (Cheshire Bridge @ LaVista), Cheshire Pointe (Cheshire Bridge @ Faulkner) and the rear parking lot of Nakato Japanese Restaurant (1893 Piedmont Road).

A trolley, sponsored by Regions Bank, will run up and down Cheshire Bridge Road with stops at 3-4 locations (TBA) and within walking distance of participating businesses. Tickets will be sold online at www.tourofcheshirebridge.blogspot.com and the following store locations: Antiques and Beyond, ChocoLate Coffee, Flora Dora, Las Margaritas, New Baby Products, Nino's Italian Restaurant, Rich Vision and Topaz Salon. Ticket prices are $10 each for a one-day pass or $20 each for a three-day pass until July 18th. A family pack of five three-day passes will also be available for a price of $80. Tickets sold after July 18th will be subject to higher pricing. Children ages 7 and under will not be required to purchase a wristband to participate. Many of the Cheshire Bridge businesses will be offering different samples, tastings, and giveaways for each day of the event. Families are encouraged to attend more than one day in order to enjoy all that the Taste & Tour of Cheshire Bridge will have to offer.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Open Hand Atlanta, a non-profit organization serving the nutritional needs through programs for people living with HIV/AIDS, homebound and critically ill, and seniors.

Many of the participating businesses have called Cheshire Bridge Road their home for decades while others have recently joined the eclectic Cheshire Bridge mix. Participating businesses include but are not limited to Alfredo's, Antiques and Beyond, Bamboo Luau, Canine House of Style, ChocoLate Coffee, The Colonnade, Crimpers, Distinctive Vacuums & Appliances, Flora Dora, Landmark Diner, Las Margaritas, Nakato Japanese Restaurant, New Baby Products, Nino's, Pet Supply Plus, Rain Restaurant, Red Snapper, Taco Cabana, Topaz Salon, Return to Eden, Rich Vision, Roxx Tavern, Ursula's Cooking School, and Woodfire Grill.

LLCC will have a booth at the Cheshire Pointe bus stop location. Be sure to stop by to say "Hello".
