Copperhead Snakes - Lindridge Martin ManorMay 30, 2010 @ 10:54am
Because we're so close in proximity to Lindridge Martin Manor and we have a lot of creeks / ponds in the neighborhood... this came from Lindridge Martin Manor:

Hello LMMNA

Just wanted to let you know that one of our very own Block Captains (Donna) and Marley tangled with a Copperhead. Fortunately, he was not bitten although the Copperhead struck at him a few times before I could pull him away. I'm telling you this primarily because of the location. We came across it in the street between the 1600 and 1700 buildings in Cedar Chase....that's the little street that runs between my building and the next set of condos. It was approx. 3 feet long and very aggressive.

I got a really good look at it and confirmed it is a Copperhead. I got the dogs in the house and went back out to get rid of it, but I didn't have anything to kill it with. I wrapped it around a broom and threw it way down in the woods behind the townhomes, but that was the best I could do. This is the 4th snake sighting that I am aware of in the last two weeks in or near Cedar Chase, but it is the first poisonous snake that has been seen.

~~ Donna

I felft this information was very important to share!
