THE FUTURE OF KITTREDGE PARK IS IN OUR HANDS!

Mark your calendar!

Join Friends of Kittredge Park, Inc. and
your neighbors on SUNDAY, MAY 23 in our one-of-a-kind local 32-acre greenspace to continue the ongoing clean-up efforts of Kittredge Park.

After the clean-up, please stay to help celebrate the Kittredge Park Master Plan that was recently completed by Dekalb County, MACTEC, and Silverman Inc. Come learn about the exciting changes coming soon to our park!

 From 10am-12pm, there will be a clean-up of invasive plants & trash (please dress appropriately)

 From 12pm-1:30pm, we’ll be celebrating! Enjoy free pizza (including Kosher), refreshments, music
featuring Galen Crader, activities for children, & lots more.

 Plan to bring your suggestions for a name for the creek that runs through Kittredge Park

DIRECTIONS: Kittredge Park is located off of N. Druid Hills Rd. near
the intersection with Briarcliff Rd., across from Target & behind Adams
Stadium. Follow the signs to the parking area at the end of the drive
(Please do not park at any other park entrance)

Kittredge Park Master Plan FestMay 26, 2010 @ 8:57am
Turn out was enthusiastic, but disappointing. Only 30 individuals attended, less than 1/2 of last years event. Less than a hand full from LaVista Park. It meant food was abundant.
The ground was soft from recent rain, so pulling privit was easy and a large area was cleared. Many tours of the park were taken and plans reviewed. I will be meeting with the consultants on June 2nd to express our priorities for the remaining funds. We are interested in seeing good access, so the spine road is number one priority. New bridge over the creek is part of this. We would like to see the meadow area smoothed out, and the playground/community garden area at Holly Lane to be cleared. Beyond that, we will need additional funds, so the 501.C3 non-profit status is the goal of Friends of Kittredge Park. Several donors are waiting on FKP getting the paperwork approved.
