LAVISTA PARK CIVIC ASSOCIATION SUBSCRIPTION is available to all resident households.
As a member of the LaVista Park Civic Association one member of the houshold will be able to vote at our Quarterly Meetings.
In addition to voting priviliges, you receive a neighborhood directory (provided you agree to be listed in the directory). You also recieve membership in our exclusive Security Patrol.
LaVista Park employs off-duty DeKalb County police officers for our neighborhood patrol.
These officers patrol our neighborhood in their personal cars, not county police cars. A magnetic LaVista Park Patrol sign may be seen on the front doors.
Enrollment in the Civic Association is on a subscription basis, per fiscal year (June 1 thru May 31) and includes one voting membership in the neighborhood Civic Association.
Association members receive a sign for their yard and special check of their property (by request) when away or on vacation.
When you are going to be out of town, you simply leave a House Check Request for the Patrol in their private mailbox. Tell them the dates you will be gone and leave a local emergency telephone number. Also, let them know if anyone will be entering your house, or if you are expecting workers or pet sitters, etc. The Patrol officers will do an extra check of the doors and windows of your house while you are away.
Additionally, if you are having contractors in and out of your house, the Patrol officers will monitor your house for persons other than your authorized contractor.
