LaVista Park is a friendly, 600+ household neighborhood of single family dwellings, cluster homes, cooperatives, apartments, and businesses located on the western border of DeKalb County. It is roughly defined by LaVista Road on the south, Briarcliff Road on the east, Sheridan Road on the north, and the DeKalb / Fulton County line (which runs parallel to Cheshire Bridge Road) on the west. It is located a short distance from great shopping, sports, dining, educational, cultural, medical and other facilities. The LaVista Park Civic Association works diligently to address issues that impact the neighborhood, such as zoning, traffic, schools and development. See the Issues page for more information. The Executive Board meets monthly, and general meetings are held quarterly (2nd Thursday of January, April, July, and October). Annual subscription dues are $35.00 per household. You are invited to join and be active in the Civic Association, as your input is vital. For additional information, see the Membership page. Be sure to take advantage of the park, from which our neighborhood get its' name. It is located at the intersection of Wild Creek Trail and Brookforest Drive. Look for changes in the park, as the Citadel Garden Club, Civic Association, DeKalb County and corporate entities work together on landscaping and play area improvements.
