 embership in the civic association is open to anyone living in or interested in the LaVista Park neighborhood. Dues are $15 per year per household. The association holds quarterly general meetings with an annual meeting in October. Officers are elected at the annual meeting.
LaVista Park employs off-duty DeKalb police officers for a neighborhood patrol. Enrollment in the patrol is $165 per year (this includes $15 for association dues). First time Patrol fees are prorated as follows: join May-August for $165, September-December for $115, January-April $65. Afterwards, renewal fees of $165 are due during June. Patrol participants receive a sign for their yard, access to a patrol voice mail number and special checks of their property when away or on vacation.
